Startup Venture Challenge Participants - CEDE Program for High Schools

Meet the summer 2024 Participants of our

Startup Venture Challenge

Launched in the summer of 2024, the Startup Venture Challenge brought together 20 young entrepreneurs from across the country to participate in weekly classes, receive top-notch mentorship from leading Catholic business leaders, and complete weekly challenges in preparation for their business launch. This ten-week intensive propelled these young entrepreneurs to successful launches, and we are delighted to share with you a few of the fruits of their labor – learn more about their businesses below:

 Bella Romero Piano Studio

Problem: Overpriced or only modern music lessons.

Solution: I provide local families with quality (including all four music periods: baroque, classical, romantic, modern) yet cheap piano lessons.

Arete Tallow

Problem: My business aims to help women have more healthy, natural, and beautiful skin. I help people who are frustrated with synthetic products and tired of long ingredient lists.

Solution:

I do this by providing an all natural, organic tallow moisturizer. I use tallow as my main ingredient, which is all natural and chalk full vitamins, etc.
Where to learn more: People will be able to reach me by email, my website (coming soon!), or through my LinkedIn account:

Ordo Amoris

Problem: Lack of high-quality, passionate artistic work done for the Catholic faith.

Solution:

I do this by putting everything I have into each and every illustration, so that not only am I doing something for the Lord, but that others can enjoy and share it alongside me. Ordo Amoris is an Etsy shop that sells Catholic apparel and other accessories. Each and every illustration featured in every product is created with love and passion by me, Mateo Romero, the owner of the shop. I hope to share the faith through my art, and hope to give you the chance to express your identity through art work you love.

Fiction Folder

Problem: Often, writers find that their fiction projects are scattered across their workspaces, computers, and app accounts. Google Docs, Pinterest, MS Word, Phone Notes, and on and on.

Solution: That’s where FictionFolder comes in. It’s built to collect and organize characters, plots, world notes, and drafts so writers can bring their stories to life with less mess and headaches.
